Resolved

We've located the source of the problem and implemented a resolution. Our database instance was slow to respond to certain queries slowing other areas of our service.

Investigating

We are investigating reports of slow website responses. An upstream service provider has also reported latency errors in their US East datacenter and we are investigating if these issue are related.
